1 Habit All Successful People In Product Creation Have In Common

Most successful people share the same handful of things in common:

But in product creation in particular, I have noticed that the most successful people have this 1 habit in common:

And here’s why:

The one thing guaranteed to make you fail is analysis paralysis.

There is always more research you could do. There is always more testing you could do. Not to mention the many many more hours you could spend in Excel building elaborate sensitivity analyses on your business case.

Ever heard of the Minimum Viable Product (MVP)? That’s product manager jargon for the first (bad) release of your product.

The idea is to launch with the absolute minimum functionality you can get away with, so you can start learning from customers.

The rule of thumb is that if it isn’t embarrassing, you did too much work before launching.

One of the core elements of good product design is to iterate. Try something, see what happens, try again.

Successful people know it is better to be too soon than too late. Just do it. Be embarrassed. Improve.
