Matchmaking is also on the menu, as an alternative for Faceit (barely anyone plays ESEA — I recall seeing one match on this platform so far). Interestingly, few pros seem to be ranked Global Elite. For example Hiko, whom I particularly like for his smooth gameplay and easy-going personality, is a Legendary Eagle Master at the moment, in spite of winning almost every match.

A worth-mentioning advantage of watching the streams is hearing how pros communicate — especially how they call (report enemies). In the process, you can learn callouts for the popular maps. This voice layer is missing from GOTV demos (which are available from HLTV for every professional match), so the streams are the main source I know of if you want to listen to pro players talking in a match.
