Different colour indicators under iOS app

Have you ever noticed any tiny coloured dot ( 🔵 🟡 🔴 )under the iOS App right before the App Name? These dots are usually of Blue, Yellow and Red colours in general. Ever think what are these meant for ?

Well these have their specific meaning:

Yellow 🟡 - Yellow dot indicates that the app has been installed through TestFlight. The yellow colour indicator will remain with the app until the app is not updated from the App Store.

Blue 🔵 - Blue dot indicates that the app is recently updated, no matter if the app is installed through TestFlight or App Store. The blue colour indicator will disappear as soon as the updated app is opened for the first time.

If the App from App Store was updated the indicator will be removed after opening the app for the first time, while for the TestFlight App it’ll turn back to Yellow colour.

Red 🔴 - Red dot next to an app normally means it’s a beta version, as installed through TestFlight. After updating the app through App Store, the colour dot will simply disappear.
