The Blue Sky

Indeed the sky fools us with its miraculous colors. We all have our opinion on what the sky feels like, how it looks like. Ask a little girl about how the sky looks like and she’d reply without any hesitation that it might look like a candy or so big, gesturing with her hands wide open.

The vastness of the sky never ceases to amaze us with the feel of being a tiny part of this amazing wonderful world. Now, this is something only a positive or good felt feeling would feel.

For others, or for us when we are depressed or sulking about some situation in our life, the sky is a monster. We are nothing more than passing clouds on this earth. We do remarkable stuff or we may not do remarkable stuff, we will live and will be long gone before you even know it.

So, what is it that you see of the sky? just blue sky. Wonderful. That is simplistic form of putting what the sky looks like according to our textbook knowledge.

You see, this is what I believe happens even when there are facts laid out in front of you. Those facts, that knowledge is true. But our ability to perceive things, to connect those dots depends on us. In this world with fake news and misleading information, it is hard enough for us to find the truth. Even when we do, we might actually know what the situation actually is. In either case, we attempt in our best abilities, with our best observation skills from our previous analysis on things, to so called “reality” or “justice/injustice”. It is good that we believe strongly in what we believe. Then, what about the possibility of other for of “sky”. The little girl say a vast sky. The textbook says its blue sky. You saw clear sky with sun beaming with its rays and some set of clouds at places with some shades of white and pale blue. What you saw is details, its true. Does that mean it wasn’t vast sky? Does that mean it wasn’t blue sky? Technically vast and blue are incorrect terms to use for description of indefinite terms like sky. It isn’t blue at all in the first place.

The thing I want to point out is not about losing your belief or not trusting anything at all. It is about the consideration that there are other possibilities, rationally thinking and speaking out, talking out about the things which we see or notice like adults who are civilized. Every time I see some people fighting so hard with swear words, or some fan based system where they are so blinded by what they think is true, they think it’s okay to go and act all mad and talk irrationally. What is so wrong in putting out the facts as your know it and stating your own idea? Maybe you don’t have counter points, but still we respect the fact that you believe in so and so thing. I am not talking about a specific party over here. It’s just, without that kind of mutual saneness among ourselves, how are we together as human beings or as a nation going towards some kind of truthful or rational thing.

Even if you trust your instincts, it is okay to just say what you believe in without any facts to back-up. Also, if others who have some decent backup points must acknowledge and respect views. This concept is very very simple thing which is thought in schools, colleges and everywhere but somehow we don’t follow minimum decency when it comes to online platforms where anonymity is increased. Where anger, frustration, ruthlessness is all encouraged. You know what is most likely to happen when we continue this shit? People tend to become numb, people tend to go where their baseless anger to support some unnecessary stuff just like that. As if this is not enough, there are more cult systems, where you like someone’s views and you simply believe whatever they tell must be true.

These things get way more complicated the more I talk about it. The least I want point out is being able to talk with respect and acknowledging individual opinions/views irrespective of whether your support the view or not. It is really shameful that this needs to be reminded to everyone, but it does. There are really only very few people who do this. I am not kidding here, those people who are reading this right now might not take such blind decisions, but I am very sure you have seen people in your life who need attention, who wants to gain more likes or more shares over something or the other. You must have seen that one person who desperately tries to do something and somehow lacks the passion towards the actual goal.

Maybe, in your moral terms, some person is violating something. You feel calling the sky as simply vast is very vague term. It is simply not acceptable for you for a person to be that ignorant and reckless that they don’t see anything beyond that. But, in no case that gives you the right to say that they are bad people or ignorant people. Who knows? Probably, those are the ones who choose to be ignorant and wanted to keep things simple. Or maybe they have other areas in which their observation skills are strong enough, this is merely a hobby to look at the sky and see only vastness. I understand that some issues can be more complex than this, some issues need you to see the truth and our support as a whole, as group of people. But, there is no situation where you can bad mouth regarding a person. I don’t think that is necessary. As long as someone isn’t violating certain ethics, within the legal terms, it is no use to entertain yourself by defaming some person. It turns out into memes or comedy and ultimately the popularity of utter nonsense is of no use to me or anyone.

The world gets along with what we encourage and support. What we talk about the most, and How we talk about the most. Even news channels can’t do anything these days when there are bunch of people are sharing some info over social media or through What’s app messages. Especially now that we have lock-down and shut down all kinds of entertainment centers, the nonsense in rapidly increasing maybe due to boredom or just like that.

let’s just say, the sky is the sky. You are you, I am Me. Let’s act with little bit of decency in this civilized world. Just a little. Nobody cares what you do in your life. Just respect other’s individuality as much as your respect yours.
